We only started Mahon this week, but... he's got really cool poems? Just get some points in about his imagery (like, the one about a shed in Co. Wexford is FULL of imagery and it's a giant metaphor for... concentration camp victims or however you want to interpret it) and his unusual topics and perspectives (as in they're not all just talking about his own experiences, like Antarctica is certainly an unusual perspective... also it's got loads of rhyme).
