Website problem

I have no trouble getting to another websites, but I am not having any success with this one.. www.pinkfloydfan.net

Others tell me they can get on to it no problem. :mad:

I have checked all settings and updated everything with no change.

Any other ideas please?

I too can access it.

Could be a dns problem.

Presuming you are using windows, open up a command prompt and do "nslookup www.pinkfloydfan.net".

If you dns is working it should show you the ip address of the site.

It shows up as 72.36.152.186 for me. you could also try entering that ip address in the address bar, see what happens

Can you see the site @ http://72.36.152.186/

If not then maybe you in a banned IP range. Could try using a proxy address to see.

That to me looks like its a dns problem, your server seems to be set at: 192.168.1.1, which does not seem to exist.

192.168.1.1 is an internal ip address so your pc is looking for another server on its network.

Are you connected to a network? if so is dhcp setup?

Couldn't get the site via above url.

Tried a UK proxy server and got the same result.

EDIT: Just tried another UK server and got to the site!!

Why can't I get on via my on settings? What next?

Yep, connected to a network and DHCP is set up. Every other web site works fine.

Sounds like your IP is blocked, or you within a range (isp range) that is blocked by the web server.

Seems to be fixed now.
Whether it was the email I sent to my ISP or something they did their end I don't know.

I can't get on www.fic.com.tw now though and could last week. :mad:

neither can I. The site could just be down. There are any number of reasons why.
