If ye are complaining about the roads that werent completed what about the ones that were??
The M1, the various bypasses on the N11, the Limerick bypass on the road to Kerry, the wonderful M4 which is progressing ahead of Schedule
None of the major interurbans can be ahead of schedule as they were all supposed to be finished under the NDP 2000-2006. It's 2007.

wow sierra, lets talk about some of the roads that were completed.

Yes the wonderful M4 that truckers don't use because they are tolled, so that FF PPP friends can make some more money out of the tax paying motorists.
How has quality of life improved in Kinnegad and Enfield when artics and sand lorries still go through the villages?
Yes maybe you don't go through them when you go down west once a month, but would you cough up €2.60 for a car or €6.20 for truck each way if you were doing it few times a week never mind couple of times a day?

We are paying for the roads by VRT, annual car tax, vat on fuel and then we have to pay a toll to use the road as well.
Take a look at the Fermoy bypass, again boycotted by truckers.

Lets look at the fact that since 1997 sections of the M50 were completed that were inadequate at the time never mind now.
These sections have to be revisited to add new lanes to cope with traffic.
Would it not have been cheaper and more economical to redesign and negogiate new contracts rather than have to do it now and in years ahead.

Lets talk about the Port Tunnel whose primary users have stated is not adequate to meet future needs. Ah sure we can come back to it in 10 years time, what's another billion down the tubes?

As for Conor74 statement about FG/Lab governments of the past, none of them had the resources that were available to the FF/PD government of the past 10 years. You cannot compare them.
Where does the littany of waste end, PPARS, national stadium white elephant, e-voting machines, Luas?
Yes Luas works but it doesn't link, was way over budget and late.
In any private sector project that would not be seen as a successful outcome.

I am not allowed discuss …
