change that psu to a crosair or seasonic or enermax or tangan or ocz

    everything else seems fine.

oh and dont bother gettings the glove lol, gimmick

    Personally,

ditch the Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard, Steelpad 5L Professional Gaming Mousepad and Steelpad Gaming Glove, glove with wrist-support.

Thats €120 right there. Buy a decent keyboard, the G15 is mostly gimmick.

Also, do you need a floppy drive for anything in particular?
Change the thermaltake to a Seasonic.
Ditch the raptor and get two larger drives in RAID.
Why the wireless router, are you not next to your router?
Get a better case and upgrade RAM to 2GB of better stuff, not CL5 and not 4GB of it.
And I wouldnt get Vista 64 bit.

I got one of those medusa's... Its not working for me in vista or xp for that matter...

Why do you need the glove?

Where would I be without you guys? :p

Ah the glove looked like a must get ;) I have sweaty hands, but lets not get into that lol.

Yes I need the floppy drive, as some people can only give me them, instead of CDs.
    Thermaltake has been changed.
RAM changed to 2gb of OCZ.
No I am not beside my router

Ok, router point noted. But the floppy, really? Do these people not have USB sticks? I mean you can buy a 512MB USB stick for €11. Tell these people that floppy is dead and its time to move on.

If you must have the flashy OCZ Gold then you can get it cheaper HERE.

Personally I went for THIS...cheap and stable!

Here is some Top Quality 2GB Ram at a much higher speed and to be honest, getting the Quad Core CPU is possibley overkill....... I was going to do the same but after considering it, there are hardly applications out there that take advantage of Duel Core or 64Bit never mind Quad Core, the ram and then the CPU would save you almost 300 euro and you could start looking at using that else where.

i know its kinda off topic, but does anyone know roughly what a rig like that would cost if you bought it pre assembled? as a complete newb to building computers i've started browsing this forum because im planning on building one in about 6-8 months. komplett seem to come up pretty often, im just curious how much you save by putting it together yourself (when all the bits are being bought from komplett)

You probably don't save anything really...but you do learn a hell of a lot and are in a better position then to know what's going on if you have a problem.

Also a huge sense of joy and relief when your newly assembled PC boots for the first time...I can never get tired of that!

yeah i really want to put one together myself (it will be like being a kid again and getting a €2000 lego set).

the thing is if anything does go wrong, it will probably be MY fault.

ill be posting a topic on here asking "how do i clean nutella off my graphics card?" or "how much smoke is too much smoke from an overclocked cpu. ?"
