Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Legalities regarding "public"(?) buildings?

    Hello folks,

My first new thread in along time, and my first post in this forum so I hope you can help!

These are actual occurences this evening in my work place, a cinema to be specific.

Some customers (ages 15) were removed from a show this evening, as will usually happen on any given weekend with young kids! It is company policy to escort anyone that has been removed from a screen for causing a distubance out of the building, not just the screen.

The mother of one of the kids arrived about two hours later, asking to speak to me (I removed them from the building), and the manager.

In brief, she was informed of the policy in place, and upon requsetion our names and a copy of the policy to present to the guards, was told she could have neither.

Her argument was that we have a responsibility towards the children, being under 18, and that while she didn't dispute them being removed from the screen, she believed it to be illegal for us to remove children from the building. She also made reference to the H.S.E (Health Service Executive).

So I have two questions, one specific and one broader. The first and most important is:

Could I be liable should it be the case that she has any grounds?

    And secondly:

    Does she haves any grounds??

Thanks in advance for any help forthcoming,

    Regards,

    Mirror

    Sorry Mirror, check the stickies.

If this does become an issue, I would advise that the cinema talks to their solicitors.
