Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    MARESCA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1-0 40 mins gone , Maresca* with possible goal of the season. Volley with back to goal (sorta) from outside the box. Good match both sides had chances but still at times getting a bit feisty.

    * Maresca is one of my favourite players ever, classic underated player like Scholes, Moravcik Alsono etc players who dictate the pace of the game and always play the killer pass.

2-1 with Robinho getting a 2nd yellow for over celebrating.

This is the biggest bunch of handbags I've ever seen. Diarra should be sent off for cheating and getting a player sent off. Back up after a couple of seconds where you'd tink he was dead, no mark, no blood and not a bother on him. disgrace.

If you just switched over you could easily think the ref was pro Real.

    Good game,very exciting.
Real were very lucky,Daniel Alves missed two great chances at 1-1 that would have changed the outcome .

Watching on the truly awful ESPN Australia coverage it was hard to tell exactly what was going on, but in the end they confirmed Robinho was booked twice for celebrating - first for taking his shirt off, then for celebrating with the crowd. A complete joke imo. The ref was acting like a little Hitler and did his best to spoil a great game. Beckham will have to get another ridiculous booking overturned to avoid suspension.

I thought Madrid played Sevilla off the park at times. The half time score was no reflection of the game. Madrid were psyched up and the visitors looked a bit jaded. Their goal must must have shell-shocked Madrid going into the dressing room at half time but Capello finally seems to have instilled some fighting spirit in the team. He's calling every game a final now, with last night's game being a grand final. Similar story in the second half except Sevilla threatened a bit more and but for Guti's brilliance might have won. Sevilla win the tiebreaker if needed though, thanks to that late free kick.

Edit: just looking at the highlights again and I don't think Robinho took his shirt off at all so maybe he was booked earlier and ESPN are even bigger muppets.

Very entertaining game, you can't really ask for much more.

Maresca's goal was beautiful, as was Chvanton's free-kick. Guti really did change the game when he came on for Raul - is he still in Capello's bad books?

A big blow to Sevilla's title hopes, but they're definitely still in with a shout. Real have found form at the right time though, by the looks of things.
