eCommunity Help for Charity

    Good Morning Boarders!

I am an owner of a charity that works with youth, and we are currently in the area of launching a website.

We want to create a website that is similar to eCommunity Portals and websites, similar to Bebo.com, http://www.nimble.ie/ and very much like http://www.metal.ie/.

What advice would people give me to getting these websites? We would have preference to a simple, easy to use CMS, and if so, which one should we use.

I have been trying Joomla!, Mambo, and I dabbled with Xoops, Drupal, ocPortal, but without success. Maybe someone can elighten me.

If I cannot get an OpenSource CMS, then would anyone be willing to help create and design a Website for me in PHP etc. We would naturally advertise the developer as an individual or the company as much as we could, as being a small charity, we cannot offer huge amounts of money.

    Many Thanks for your time,

    Hopefully you can help.

    David.

Metal.ie is using a script by the name of Fox'Something', can't remember the exact name of it. It's a myspace-esque script.

    Edit: PHPFox

Have a look at django http://djangoproject.com
It's amazing what you can do with this framework in a small amount of time. Comes with a very nice automatic admin interface

Firstly, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Rollo Tamasi, Louie, Mart_Max and Nuada for replying to my thread. It is much appreciated.

A few further questions, if I may.

Nuada: - Djangoproject. From what I see, you must built it partially yourself. This must be hard for those who are not wildly familar with Php and related items? Am I correct?
