    Bertie said on RTE with Dobson that the monies given to him by his "friends" were used to pay off debts arising from his seperation legal fees, and then *sniff* *sniff* £20,000 to pay for his daughters' educations.

    This raises an important question which I have not yet seen asked:

    How come Bertie gets his friends to contribute the money he owes for his kids' educations, but yet manages to have £50,000+ to spend doing up a house with the woman with whom he was cheating on his family?

    If this is the case, as it seems from his own words in recent interviews and statements, it says more about his poor character than anything!

    It doesn't make sense because he is clearly lying through his teeth. Nothing in his story adds up.

    The argument that he should be given the benefit of the doubt is stupid at this stage, because everything he says to explain himself contradicts something he said earlier, or doesn't tally with the financial records of the time (the records that he didn't accidentally destr.. oops I mean lose)

    Bertie keeps saying he has 'fully explained himself', and if that is his full explanation, then he's clearly lying, and has been lying through his teeth for months and years now to the Irish people, and to the Tribunal (which is a criminal offense) He simply cannot be trusted anymore.

    This election is a job interview, You don't give a candidate 'the benefit of the doubt' if he refuses to answer your questions and everything he says turns out to be either a clear lie, or something so implausible, that it can not be trusted.

    This has not been proven to be the case.
    You can state it as your opinion of course but it is against the charter of this board to state opinion as fact.

    @jerkyboy
    There is already a thread or indeed several threads in which this can be discussed.
