Quick I've made a whole batch of it, and don't know what to serve with it. Boiled rice? Pasta? Noodles? Big bales of hay?

    Boiled rice, or tortillas.
    Grated cheese to garnish

    And sour cream... yum!
Raw peppers are nice to garnish too.

I serve mine with rice, in a hot tortilla with grated cheddar, sour cream and raw peppers.

Sour cream, quacamole, grated cheddar cheese on the side.
Rice, spuds (if you must), or tortilla chips as the starch.
Green salad, or salsa crudo* as the healthy stuff.

(a raw tomato salsa...not at all the salsa dip you buy for tortilla chips)

tortilla chips? ooh, interesting. so just use the carne as a sort of dip? that might be better thah laying on platefuls of the stuff, just stick it in a big bowl and let people fend for themselves...

How about some garlic bread? I've yet to find a dish that doesn't go well with garlic bread.

I make a guacamole that is easy if you have a food processor
1 ripe avocado deseeded and peeled.
3 Tbsp sour cream (tip) the Eastern european shops have lovely sourcream 30%
    1 Tbsp lemon/lime juice
1 dash hot sauce I like Encona brand
    pinch salt
    Puree to desired consistency.
I sometimes reserve quarter of the avo and roughly mash it then add to the smooth mixture.

I spoon the hot chilli over tortilla chips (the tortillas then go slightly soggy but still crunchy - yum!) and then grate cheese over it.

Then put it under the grill to melt / cook the cheese ......

Serve with jalapenos/sour cream/chopped tomatoes etc etc

Chilli con carne as a sauce for hotdogs - better if they are BBQ frankfurters - can't beat it with a cold coke.

A friend once served up a large baked potato covered in chilli con carne, with all the trimmings like crispy salad, cream cheese, salsa etc. And it was really good.
