Buying a boat in the States

Hey all, Sorry if this is in the wrong place....I don't really know where it should go! I'm in the market for a boat at the moment and I'm looking on appolloduck.ie There's a dealer in Florida that imports to Ireland. What would I have to pay in terms of VAT, Customs Duty, etc etc?

You will need to talk to customs to get the rate of duty on boats. This is charged on the price paid for the boat plus any shipping charges. Vat is charged at 21% on top of this. Plus you will probably have to pay a fee to your clearance agent.
