Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Business Correspondent Eircom is to launch its own mobile phone brand at the end of this month, initially aimed at the corporate market.

Isn't this meant to be what meteor business plan does...any ideas why they are doing it this way ?

Meteor started off as non-business essentially, with only a pay as you go - type service. even now id say their largest customers are students and young people who use it for personal use as opposed to business/corporate usage and bill phones.

They obviously kept the meteor brand due to its customer base and the previous image and are probably going to essentially split it and create a seperate brand aim directly at the business sector.

Even if thats the case it will be interesting to see if the meteor brand is retained in the long term

The corporate / SME market is hotting up by the looks of things.

Meteor could be a sub-brand like Ready to Go or SpeakEasy

    No reason to drop it.

Eircom Mobile or whatever as the main umbrella brand.
