I hear that there are great savings to be made by purchasing electrical appliances over the web (for example, for a new house). Anyways, I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience on this (good/bad/indifferent) and also, any websites/companies that deal in this way.

    Many thanx!

Moved to Gardening/DIY although it may be better in on-line buying/auctions. I'll leave it to Delly.

We bought last year off Trading Post Appliances
    http://www.tradingpost-appliances.co.uk

The main reason was an unusual extractor that was about €400 cheaper. We also bought hob and dishwasher and saved about €100 each. The shipping added €100 so you would want to buy a couple of items.

Delivery took a couple of weeks as they ship stuff to Ireland every month and then deliver it.

Yeah, made some savings buy buying white goods from EmpireDirect in the UK. Saved something like 15% over local prices - that was three years ago, don't know how they compare today

And some Kenwood stuff from www.pixmania.com
