Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm just setting up two new laptops, they've been turned on for the first time today. They came bundled with Norton, so I took that off.

I'm trying to install AVG Network edition, and it's worked fine on one laptop, but not on the other. There are two things I have to do to get the remote install working, deselect simple file sharing and turn off the XP firewall.

On the laptop which didn't take the install, the firewall is ON according to the security centre and OFF according to the firewall.cpl

    Bizzare.

I've tried stopping the firewall service and then doing the AVG remote install, but no joy there. Any ideas, please?

    -EDIT
a few reboots later, the same story. I go away for a cup of tea and come back and strangely the firewall is now off and the install can proceed. I don't know/care why it was like that, it's fine now though!
