    Hey all,
I've a Sony DCR-HC96, NTSC. It came with the standard battery, and I wanted to upgrade to the high power one, the NP-FP90. The ones in the Sony shop were going for €190, so on to ebay I went and picked up one for fifteen bucks. Sweet, I think. Only when it arrives, it's not a sony one as described, but a replacement one for a sony camera. And then the camera won't take it. It starts saying "Please insert Sony infoliuthium battery."

    This is six months ago.
I start looking to get a genuine sony one now, but before I start shelling out near two hundred europes for another battery, is there any way I can get my camera to accept my ebay battery?

    Cheers,
    WP.
