€380 is a very reasonable price if ATI can sort out the performance with better drivers it would be a nicer solution to the 8800GTS 640.

One thing the 2900XT has going for it is a bunch of new AA modes, only seen the PR slides at the moment but some of them showed promise.

First reviews are out and it looks more like the 2900 is sub-gts performance for gts prices. No sign of the midrange or XTX parts either which means ATI is ****ed this time round.

according to Extremetech they are saying up to 30% better than 8800GTS
and that there will not be an xtx version probably due to power consumption and they are sticking to the $400 high end mark
