Something I wrote in an earlier thread reminded me of how I used to make
decent coffee when I was in rooms in college many moons ago and before I
splashed out €500+ on coffee equipment.

Might be of interest to someone out there yearning for something a tad
nicer than freeze dried instant and will give you great results for
an outlay of about 30 euro.

Get yourself a proper moka pot and a french press (preferably an all
metal as I used to crack the glass ones too regularly!)

Pick up a pack of Illy or Lavazz in any supermarket.

Here's a quick guide on how to use a Moka pot

(lower the heat once the coffee starts rising in the pot to avoid
    burning the coffee)

Fancy some frothy milk? The quick, easy and CHEAP way
is to heat a half cup in the microwave until it's about 70 degrees
    - dont boil it as you'll split the milk fats and it wont froth.
Pour the milk into the French Press and pump it up/down until
    it's nice and frothy!

Add frothy milk to your Moka pot espresso and you'll never
    drink instant again!

    Hasta luego
