NTL Router

    Hi , Got one of the above (Cable router), It will only give my pc and address, wont give my laptop one, As far as i know you cant really change settings on these routers (DHCP), anyone any ideas ? (PS it aint a laptop problem)

    I didnt get a router from NTL, just a modem. Are you sure its a router?

    Ive never actually checked, but Id imagine the modem would only give out a single IP address. You need a router to connect multiple devices to your network.

    you can only connect one device to your motorola modem.

    you'll need to buy a router if you want to connect more than one device to the internet

    is it safe to assume you are power cycling the modem in between swapping PCs or could you have forgotten this?
