Tax and duty on 2nd hand parts

    Does anyone have any info on the tax and duty to be paid on shipping an engine and afew other parts. FYI the parts are coming from outside the EU.

    Any help would be greatful. Thanks

    You will have to pay 10% cct tax and 21% vat of the price of the parts and the shipping.(Pending on how it gets here)
    They base the figures on the invoice you get from your contact so if they put a lower wrong price on it you pay less:)

    They also charge VAT on the price of the parts plus the 10% duty, a nice little double-whammy.

    WTF?!! How can they tax you for the same thing twice its fookin 2nd hand?! Im looking to get a nice JDM sir B16a for my project! Lads any words of advice from past buyers engines abroad? Say its a gift!! LOL :)

    get the seller to put it down as a lower value and say it is a used gift!!!!
