Nocturnal Studying?

So basically, Im planning to give studying at night a go. I am not a morning person and I seem to do my best work when the house is quiet and theres nothing to see out the window. So is anyone else using this method? find it effective?

I'm in first year college and to be honest study wasn't really on the books until around a week ago.......but I tend to stud at night.

I'd usually get up about 12. Study from around 2-6. Study again from around 9-2. More of a cramming schedule but it works when the pressure is on.
