    Can anyone let me know where i might get a reasonably priced Ploughman Irish bank note - I have the lavery set of notes and was looking for the Ploughman 1 punt note or the 5 punt also - would pay reasonably money for either - help appreciated!

    Depends what you call reasonable I'm afraid to say. You are better off paying for a note thats in reasonably good condition.

    Ploughman Pounds are scarce. Fivers are harder to obtain again. The ratio of Fivers to Pounds in circulation back then was around 1-45 in the Ploughman series. Bank of Ireland and National Bank are the most common of the issue.

    3. Georges Street Arcade, Dublin.

    Two things have occurred to shove the price through the roof. 1. Euroisation, 2. Internet trading.

    Good luck, you'll be parting with at least 500 Euro for that pair.
