Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there!

Has anyone here had a Microdermabrasion treatment before? Would you recommend it? Would one treatment make a difference or is a course better?

Any suggestions for salons in Dublin would be much appreciated :D

Had a course done in March.

    It is well worth it,
Made a hugh difference,my skin is so much brighter and my make-up looks so much better now,not sliding off the oily areas and sticking to the dry patches.
    This is what i did,

    Week 1/3/5 - Microdermabrasion
    Week 2/4/6 - Mini Facial

would also recommend you change to Dermalogica products
i did right after my course and am delighted with the change in my skin.
120 euro sounds expensive though,I got mine done in Galway for 80.

    Hi there!

I got the treatment! Got it in Nu Essence in town, on South Anne St. It cost 70 euro. A far cry from 120 in dundrum!

I've noticed a difference after just one treatment - my skin is a lot smoother and clearer looking. Even the pigmentation mark I had on the side of my face has faded a good bit.

Now I'm tempted to do the course of 5 for 300, but how much more of a difference can it make? G&T, did you notice a big difference between treatment 1 and 3?

    Cheers!

I'm currently near the end of my course and i have to say I LOVE microdermabrasion- i'm getting medical microdermabrasion (apparently there's some sort of difference, not sure exactly what). It costs 100Euro a go, it's great because my skin has never been this good, it's glowing, gorgeous and makes such a difference!

Oh really? Where are you doing that treatment? Is it harsher? What sort of after effects do you have?

My advice would be to get the course done.
It takes a while to get rid of the old skin.
Do at least 4 and see how you get on.
