    There was a team of about 8 planes flying in formation over Baldonnell yesterday. Anyone know what these were and why they were there?

    I don't know the why, but the PC-9M's are based at Baldonnel.

    The were up for a Photocall as it probably wont happen again as the next cycle of maintenance will start grounding the planes one at a time till July so were told.

    To a layman like myself, it looked like they were rehearsing for an airshow or something.

    Quite impressive looking formation flying (Well, it impressed us office dwellers at Citywest anyway:D )
