Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The macau leauge final is on this saturday at six o clock! there are about 130 runners. The average stack in this tourney will be close 30k. chip leader is sean(worzel) o sullivan followed closley by gentelman jim well over the 90k mark. Some of irelands best tourney players are involved in this final including flipper, eoin tobin, caoimh etc. As so many boardsters are involved in this tourney the question is who will triumph!!!! . Its a 80grand free roll with the guts of 30k for the winner.
    1;siobhan:)
    2;eoin tobin
    3;sean o sullivan

How could you make a ruling on this....

Certain players from the macau have qualified for this freeroll but due to unforseen circumstances they will be unable to take their seats.

Would it be within the rules to nominate someone to play on your behalf.

Maybe that's how Michael Greco is being tipped up to win the tournament.;)

I know his "acting" career seems to have gone down the pan. But a poker version of Stars in Your Eyes:rolleyes:

Tonight Matthew I'm going to be

    Take Your Pick

    1. Sideshow Bob

    2. The Lord Of The (Bagel) Ring

    3. The Grifter

Yeah, I kinda wish I'd gone in more since Christmas now, with my paltry 20-odd thousand in chips. Great prizes though, looking forward to it.

I've been told that last year, it was 30 minute blinds, starting at 25-50, 50-100, 75-150, etc. NOt sure about this year, but I imagine if it was that last year, it'll be the same this year, as it's over two days, with more chips in play.

    EDIT: I stand corrected.

as regards who will win,i think it's between about 10-12 players and will probably be decided by who gets the easiest tables en route to the ft.this is a unique tournament in that it is so deepstacked and a lot of bad players will start with an awful lot of chips.these players will generally be seeing lots of flops and spewing off lots of chips and whoever's lucky enough to be there to take them will have a good shot at winning.

have the prizes been anounced for this event yet?
    how many are being paid?
does the point leader get anything for toping the chart as in recent years?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 175 ✭✭PokerPissTaker

    Prixe pool is around 90k

There is 3k for the top of the leaderboard I think Worzel has that in the bag at this stage.

Not sure About the payout structure.

Would like to know if the if the missing persons from this event will have there stacks present to be blinded away or merely be left out from the event. And what is the correct proceedure in such an event

If its such a bad place and you cant stand it, why do you keep mentioning it in every thread related to the Macau?????

    to final table,

    worzel
    jim
    dixon
    brian daly
    bono
    captain tom
    mongo
    siobhan
    ken o regan

worzel by his own admission is not a good big stack player but if he can adjust he should waltz in to the major money

jim has too much experience and too big a stack not to get there

dixon has a lrge stack and a good game(if he brings it)

    bono has plenty of talent

brian daly is one of the mid range stacks i expect to come through

captain tom while i dont know his starting stack is obviously to be feared

mongo is another mid stack with a good game

siobhan is too good a player not to get a mention

ken o regan is one of aggressive players i picked

while i dont mention myself i expect to have a good chance too.
if flipper can build from a short stack obviously he also has a chance.
there are a lot of very good players starting short that need to avoid the bullits(fish suck out)to get there

    Sir
