The Fiddlers Niteclub

I am fed up of the over charge at the door into the Fiddlers Niteclub in Carrickmacross, 12e in my opinion is too much and then a bottle of beer is 4.50e.

What really is annoying is the door fee goes up to 15e on a bank holiday.

This is really annoying especially as in Dundalk, you can get into a niteclub for 8-10e with drinks on offer from 2e for any drink.

Second thing is the music is crap. The DJ plays the same old songs every week and they are always months behind the lastest realises.

Its time for a bit competition in the town in this regards.

I totally agree kluivert, I am a regular to the place and only go there because there really is nowhere else to go locally. It really is a pity that the Oasis, all be it not much better than the Fiddlers is closed. At least there would be some competition.

Even places in Dublin city centre are cheaper than the Fiddlers. Copper Faced Jacks is €10 in, roughly the same price for better drink (Kopparberg). Its a real pity. But unless someone can come in and get another club up and running in the area, things will remain the same or only get worse.

yuor right it is dear , but people still seem to go anyhow

i think that drink prices are crazy in this country anyhow

also just to clairify a point only victim in dundalk now do €2 a drink on a saturday,

also in relation to the fiddlers i like it always have had a good time and when it comes to the music, kluivert you must spend your time up the top end of the club were tey play music from the 80's, down in the nightclub part i think the music is fresh and modern, and have many of time heard songs way before they have been released

( i presume you are talking about sat night, dont go on fri or sun )

but hey it could be worse you could head to luna ...

Cant be any worse than Dun A Ri in Kingscourt, its €10 at the door and the drink is poison. They should have health notices at the door warning not to touch draught beer or drink the vodka. And as for DJ Jessie...

Well yeah Carrick has good pubs and the Fiddlers is a great niteclub for the size of the town. Are you that hard pressed against paying €2 or €3 on a weekend night?

Dundalk and Drogheda (and actually Newry aswell) are good spots to go out in but you have to look at the population.

If you bought your first two drinks in the off license and drank them at home, I think you could offset the overcharge from the nightclub.

I've been in fiddlers a few times for one reason or another, wasn't pushed tbh. Would a few of you not be better of paying for a taxi to fundalk or taking it in turns to drive?

Well you would stick up for yourself, Mr DJ. Can't believe you'd tell people to go on a Sat night only.
Don't bite the hand that feeds you!
    Thats a sackable offence ;)

    I think the fiddlers rules!
Never mind your E4.50 drinks and entrance fee.
Sure isn't it all worth the money when you score at the end of the night, and everyone knows the Fiddlers is great for talent.
Why do people go to nightclubs in the first place?? Its not because its a bargain and good value for money.
Good look to anyone who wants to stay at home with cans and dvds. Each to their own, maybe you's are just getting too old and grumpy
