    Enough! STOP THAT NOW! ;)

Clearly SingingStranger knows who we are talking about too !!!!

    More Ideas

    - A Eurotrash Style show where the winner of the Biggest B(.)(.)BS Award gives Librocop a naked Lapdance. And we all get to watch

-A Eurotrash Style show where the winner of the biggest boobs award gets sprayed with gallons and gallons of water while wearing a white tshirt

-A Eurotrash Style Show where somebody slips viagra into Librocop's tea, and get the Bigges Boobs winner to walk by him in a bikini

-A Eurotrash style show where we show more sex

    Oh I know; it was a rhetorical question. I was just trying to be funny. I know better now for the future. ;_;

    Bah!

Dude, in all seriousness, do be careful, there's been upset caused before.

Back on-topic anyway, I'd like to see CTN try its hand at more drama, written by DramSoc or other college-based writers.

how about a reality show with holly irvine - a bit like Mr. Bean runs ents

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 388 ✭✭Blut

Now now, I think Mr Bean isnt really a fair comparison for Holly Irvine year in the ents office, shes not that "special". I think a far more accurate one would be David Brent from the office - <snip - oopsies>.

In all fairness it wasn't Hetfield who brought it up with a certain "this-is-such-a-clique-we're-all-thinking-of-some-person". He just likes women and boobs. And he's funny.

Why is this thread so hard to stay on topic? Even the mod has gone off topic.

I love that history of UCD idea

Yeah-huh. But in the administration of teh mod powah.

Glad to hear the ideas. Most of them actually are things we are thinking of doing, particular the history stuff and documentarys focussing on certain aspects/people involved in UCD life.

Trust me when I say next year is going to be hell of a lot better for CTN than this year.

Just saw the silent bum/homeless guy around campus and I thought, wouldn't it be great to do a Blink182 on him? ie pimp him out, maybe a shiny lime green suit with fur trimmings, a cane, a snazzy greased up haircut, fine shoes etc. Budget constraints might mean he'll end up looking like a rejected Oxfam rack but hey its a thought. Actually, he mightn't make a great television star either, I mean he says nothing.. in fact forget about it..

    2. a day in the life of hugh brady showing his oppulent surroundings as he sips champagne in his jacuzzi as he hops around from one place to the next in his heilicopter.

Actually is a project that has already been sugested in the first ever meeting. And its been done.

Anything you would like to see from CTN, do it yourself. CTN doesnt run on magic and wishes.

Some of the new recruits, yes we're recruiting people during the summer, have expressed an interest in drama projects

I've done lots of stuff with CTN. what are you talking about? Who is this?

A Punk'd rip off in the style of Merc'd focusing on the librocop.

A few suggestions- get people to donate there old phones to actors who would then compare ringtones infront of the librocop.
A version of negs urban sprinting involving robbing library books and having him chase you.
Have every student smuggle an un-lidded cup of coffee.

People would watch with more librocop.

That would damage our relationship the college. If you think that would be entertaining, film youself doing it.

Again I point out that CTN doesnt run on wishes. We make shows we would find entertaining. Shows we would like. Join CTN and make shows you would like.

Do you have a target audience outside people involved in CTN?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,885 ✭✭✭Stabshauptmann

    what, you mean like, commoners?

I used to think that DramSoc was the most cliquey and impenetrable society in UCD...

    Then CTN came along.....

Us mere mortals can only dream of seeing/participating in CTN....

Oh and is it still a "TV station" that doesn't broadcast? Is it still an internet streaming lark (ie not TV)?

Whoah, that was perhaps the most illuminating comment ever made on boards.ie.

In fact, you deserve a prize for it. Do you engage in conversation and debate often? It shows.

it expressed my views on the previous comment fully and showed i had no wish to go into detail, if i wanted an arguement i CERTAINLY wouldn't pick the UCD forum, your reputations preceed you*...

*that is meant in the least flattering way possible of course

There could at least be some basis for the bickering!

I don't trust CTN to do any better than they did this year, but I hope that they do. I hope the people involved will actually produce something watchable and interesting, and that preferably doesn't subscribe whole-heartedly to the D4 stereotype at the expense of something that could potentially have been watchable.

Don, if you want people to have a positive outlook towards the network, you might find it helps not to promote that same network as a club that only caters to those who're involved in producing the end result. Enticing people with a variety of tastes into CTN should probably be a focus. Asking them for their opinions and implementing their suggestions might possibly encourage them to care a bit more about what you're doing, and perhaps even entice them to look further into getting involved.

Sure, you guys don't run on hopes and wishes. But you do get funding. Unless your collective parents are footing the bill for you and your friends to play "tv station" consider that there's possibly more to CTN than you and your peers amusement.
