Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nokia 6300 - Memory Card & SMS

    Hey,

I just switched from a Nokia 6680 to a 6300. With the 6680 I was able to specify the memory card for storing SMS & MMS messages and basically store as many as I like cos I've a 1gig memory card.

However, so far I cannot see the same function on the 6300 - i.e. messages have to be stored to phone memory.

Does any one know if u can save to the memory card and if so, how?

    Cheers.!

i'm open to correction on this but i think its only symbian phones that can do that

Yup, that's correct. Only Symbian have that option.

That said, I'm currenty on 300 messages in my inbox, and 200 in my outbox with no ill effects. I've seen a 6131 (which is the same OS as the 6300) with over 700 in the Inbox and 1200 (!!!) in the sent items so it can hold plenty. The 6131 didn't have a memory card in it either.

    Cool,

Thanks for the reply guys... saves me having to study the manual for a fourth time in search of an answer.

How do you find the 6300? Notably the battery life, my 6230i is struggling to last a day even after replacing the battery and making no phonecalls at all!
Would you recommend the phone? I like how sleek it looks.
