Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vista Temp Files Location

I'm trying to find where my temporary files are in Vista, when I go to disk cleanup it says I've over 1gb and I want to get to the files, I think there's something in there I want so I don't just want to get rid. I used the search but it doesn't show up, so either it's not there or it doesn't scan them.

I can view hidden files and folders but C:\windows\temp is empty, where else should I be looking?

    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp (%USERPROFILE% = ex: C:\Users\yourlogin)

now...crazy idea but why not let Disk Cleanup do its job? mneh

Not it used it myself. Does it recover files?

Cheers for that, on a different computer right now but I should get around to it later.

start --> Run and type %temp% should bring up your temporary directory

Whatever the setting of the %temp% and %tmp% variables, some stuff also inevitably finds it's way into C:\WINDOWS\TEMP too for some reason.

Lazy programmers hard coding the path.
