I posted photos of them about a year ago ;)

I also posted photos of these 2, a 250 Merc and 2002 (?) in Sandford Motors , the Merc was white then, and the 2002 (150 KRI) was intact - now the Merc is nearly desert beige :P and the 2002 is burned out
Hard to know what to call a 'mechanic' that lets that happen to good cars :mad:

I went up with a friend after you posted with a friend and he bought the brown Capri, whilst there I tried to buy that merc and was told it was a clients awaiting some work. It hasn't moved since:(
He has a mercedes w121 or it could even be a w 198 inside.

Bring back the "Any aul scrap, Boss ?" merchants - like piranhas but at least the stuff didn't rot away or be set on fire

I often if there's somebody somewhere crying out for something like that , and others who can't sell scrap they have - scrapbrokers.com ???

    2001 Mercedes Benz E-Class Avantgarde
I think the story of this Car I know is the Owner Passed away about 3 Years ago and shortly afterwards the car was parked in the driveway/Gateway blocking the entrance of the house for Security etc...The Nice house is located on the edge of the beach and is now all over-grown and recently I noticed someone had smashed the front windscreen and passenger window. The lane to the country beach runs right by the car/house so that is how I took the picture.

I wont name the location or please dont ask..

Was just about to say there was something far more interesting inside. Both have been there unmoved since 2003 at least.

Jeez, we used have an avenger like that, same colour, vinyl roof and all, back in the eighties bought for 60 pounds. She had no tax book, no exhaust, the clutch juddered, the tank had some black stuff coming off it and the carb needed some work.Never went on the road at all.Brings back the memories alright.

Gardai used to have them in that blue without the vinyl roof

A few of those Porsches were obviously imported and driven for a bit. Probably fell foul of the NCT and now only exist for parts. :(
