    Mk1 Morris 1100 it is. 1962-66.

When they went to Mk2 in '67, they shared the strip speedo of the Austin which arrived in 1964.

Mk3 went round dials. Big single in the centre dash on base models and twin in fake wood on others and triple on crackle finish for the GT.

Mk1 had a smaller front grille that doesn't come under the headlamps to a point.

Give me an IM3 please so I don't have to drive like a bus driver :pac:

(and I learnt all that before the t'internet was invented.)

The Morris 1100 came with a chrome strip down the centre of the bonnet like in the photos and unlike the Austin version.

My '66 Mk1 had a "strip" speedo like this

    1100_08.jpg

And the Mk3 had I think (think) three circular dials in the dash

    So I should imagine the car is a Mk2 (67-71) Morris 1100.

Would love to know how long it has sat there. Were there any reg plates around the garage?

No visible signs of reg plates, I would have had needed more time, gloves and old clothes to go rooting.

No sound on that clip. See this extract on this video from 2m 45s:

"See how a woman driver handles it..."

"She'll never park it in a space like that!" :pac::pac::pac:

Yes, the film is made for the US market - note how the narrator mentions that the ornament she puts on the back seat is worth around 200 dollars.

That would be $100 more than the car so. :)

also couple of stripped Škodas (like completely). One was Škoda 100, the other could have been anything. Probably Garde/Rapid or even 110R.

Surely it should be towed. It is obviously abandoned.

    ^^^^ hardly an 'abandonded classic'?!:p:D

Anything that makes the place look used!
I slept in the camper van beside that car park one night last summer, a friend was getting the early flight out after a week touring around the west.
    Airport completely deserted after 9pm.
We watched a hare come up the main road like he owned the place, and he went into that car park. He went under a BMW and set off its alarm.
Friggin thing went off every ten minutes for the rest of the night.....

The front is OK, lifted up with a Senneboggan so the roof and doors etc ruined. Unmarked alloys and new looking tyres. Felix Gormley's yard if anyone interested.

Is that a Victor 101 or VX4/90 peeping out from under the tarp beside the Berlingo?
