Isn't that an R5 Gordidi, as oppossed to a Turbo, and I think the later style R5's were present in 1986. That may well be a UK import that got 1986 plates when it arrived here in '86.

Turbo is written on rear 1/4 panel and the front alloy is from a Turbo, Gordinis had different wheels.

Interesting one, I'm going to try find this. Its not a Gordini from what I can see and the newer style GTturbo had its first outings in 1987. A neighbour had a white one 87 G 811 if I remember correctly (debadged, it would have tempted theft otherwise).

My brother had a few in the UK, from '88 on and got one of the last into the UK in 1991, I think its still driving around Lucan somewhere! That appears to be an import alright, and may be a turbo, pity it wasn't a maxi from that period! Can you pm me the approx address please, I'm based not a million miles from there and would like a look.

it's on the side of the road so the location is no secret. From Portlaoise head for Monasterevin on the old Dublin rd, a few miles out there's a left turn for Portarlington and it's just on the right once you've taken that left turn. The house next to the car (I presume it belongs to them) has assorted vehicles in the front yard.

passed there this morning and the R5 is gone from that gateway.
Might be sold, might be scrapped, might just be pulled in behind the house. Who knows???

Whats the story with the 2002 ? Its a shame to see an Irish one out in the weather. Doesn't look to be gone beyond doing ?
