    The front wings are different, especially the wheel arch. The door is probably the same, knowing Ford's talent for raiding the parts bin

    More than likely you are correct. Ford were not the only maufactor to "rob the parts bin" The Series Land rovers, during the British Leyland days, had parts from nearly every model of the time used to build them.
    Mini parts especially.

    a fella down in carlow ,near my home place . i passed by yesterday & spotted hanging half on & half off a truck body , an early 80s mercedes estate :eek:

    now i go down that road every now an then & always wondered what was under the tarp on that truck & the heavy wind last week must have blown the car & the cover off !


    it looks ok & i must try & get a close up pic of it the next time i pass .

    pity we didnt get it 5-10 years ago at least we could have knocked some fun out of it, letting cars rot is the biggest waste!

    I spotted an Old Land Rover in the bottom corner of a field just outside Kilgarvan Yesterday. No pics I'm afraid.

    I was down for the Historic Rally of the Lakes - No there was some spotting to to there......

    Hmmm, A Volvo 240 Turbo. Now that's a rare one, especially for on Irish plates.

    .......I actually took this car as trade in back in 1996 from a teacher who bought a new Mitsubishi.It was quite mint back then.
