G'wan the kev..! What state was the engine in? Surely only for parts?

    Perfect to rebulid.
70k miles and totally original right down to the original tailored plug leads with the Ford ovals on the caps!

The guy that has the engine is hoping to put it into his model A at some stage.

and what has happened to the rest of the car? Will it be used for spares or has it been recycled?

Yesterday I spotted a Renault 5 Mk2 abandoned near Ashton School on 90 D plates, couldnt take a pic as i was in moving :)traffic... And the Paris monument is still at the same location except it hasnt been clean-up for a few years so its probably a monument to Rust!

Nice one, theres a rodded model B(i think?) down here with a flathead in it. And a Ford truck that was featured in Irish vintage scene recently too. Cool engines.

Theres a local mechanic of mine down here in Kerry has one of them in his yard along with a few other bits and bobs.

i came accross this in my local scrapy about a month ago it belonged to the owner of the scrap yard and he bought it many moons ago id say early 90's and he then got something fresher so stoped using it!

i was going to buy it until i found out there worth feck all! its a 300sec it think and had a rare manual gearbox! there was virtually no dents on it and very little rust and it can be bought for 500 euro if it hasent been striped for parts!

Its a 280 unless the motor was changed after 1985, and its an S or SE not a SEC. A manual gearbox is indeed rare enough though.

    Was manual available in the V8 engined W126? I saw a W116 350SE once.
