Just came across this old bluebird, 5 mins before the digger did...

The diggers didnt clear that part of the site so we went back today with some hydraulic help..:D

Surprisingly it stayed in one piece despite being lifted at both ends. It's spectacularly rotten as only a Datsun can be!

One headlamp is full of water. Engine would run I'm sure with a bit if tinkering, it was literally parked up one day and left. Even has half a tank of ancient juice in the tank, which poured out the rusty holes when it was lifted. :p

Apart from getting a few parts what are you hoping to do with?

After all the trouble of carefully lifting it for transport.

Nothing a bit of filler and respray could sort out :D

Heres a carina I knew of that was stripped for parts lately (pic13062...), its not there anymore now I think, most of it was to fargone to do up id say, also pictures of a 70s datsun 120y coupe (pic 28033...) thats going to be used for parts, its been moved since this picture was taken. Furthermore pictures of a ferguson T20 tractor( 25082..) spotted in a well hidden location in Co.Down through a window, dont know history behind it at all or the owner.

Is i am right that place is off a small rural road, then up an even smaller back road, on the side of a hill ?

That guy or maybe his father used to have a field full of stuff .I was told about 15 years ago that he used to drive a car untill the MOT expired, park it up in the field and go out buy something else, drive it untill the MOT expired, park it up in the field...When i visited there must have been 15/20 cars, or probably more, in that field. From a restricted viewpoint i can remember seeing 60's & 70's Ford Cortinas,Consols , Rovers, and i think some early Datsuns or Toyotas. Was told he wouldnt sell any of them.

Was up that way two years ago, the field full of stuff is gone !

    Hello,

No the stuff in the pictures were spotted elsewhere, the toyota on a farm, tractor in a town up north and the datsun at a garage. There is a field full of old cars down in Suncroft co.kildare though that is full of old suff still, but is being cleard out.

More of an update than a repost but that old Toyota Landcruiser I posted some 11 months back is still sitting in the corner of the builders providers and hasn't moved, stilll covered in the same snow too

    DSCF4466.jpg

Seems a bit of a waste really, I must ask about it again next time I'm over there... wouldn't be hopeful though

This is it back in January: http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg35/MrFoxman360/DSCF2422.jpg

i will give it a loving home for nothing
