I've a few elders in the back garden which are currently in flower. Anyone know any tips on turning the flowers into tasty treats?

On the "Great British Menu" program on BBC2 at the moment one of the chefs made a desert including elderflower icecream. IIRC he also garnished it with a little sprig of elderflower tempura but that's not mentioned in the recipe.

NextSteps

Elderflower cordial is nice but I don't know how you'd make it. Boil them with sugar and lemons, perhaps?
