Got this skirt in Forever21 yesterday, along with a coral cami that was dressed out on the mannequin with it! They only had XS left on the hangars, but the mannequin was in a small, I thought I'd be medium, but tried on the small nonetheless, and voilá! it fit!!

    84701797-02.jpg

I'm going to wear it with sheer navy tights, coral pumps I got in Dunnes last year, the cami and a cropped denim jacket, soon to be purchased!!!

I also got a dress in Carousel, chocolate boutique brand, but can't find a pic at all online!!

I also bought this online the other night in the Lady Umbrella "no joke Sale"

    Ladies%20Fashion%20Tshirt%20-%20LadyUmbrella%20and%20the%20Trike%20SM.jpg

I have one of their t-shirts already, and the fit is so lovely on it, nice and long, which is always a bonus!!! And shipping is free!!

And finally, I bought my boyfriend's mum this 0_0_0_0_181_170_csupload_23331927.jpg?u=2110754585 for her birthday from Horse&June the new vintage store on Drury Street. The candle has 85 hours of burn time, and smells delish!!! If you're into vintage clothing in any way, pop in here and have a look!!

Always feels great to support local, Irish businesses as well as places like Forever21!!

Black Bandage Dress (OK, I bought this before Xmas, but forgot about it until I found it in my wardrobe, so it is new, kinda)

    Savida, Dunnes Stores - €30

Turquoise dress eBay. The seller never mentioned anything about the elasticated waistband and wore a belt in the pic, so first I knew of the EB was when the dress arrived, it is nice, but I have to get a belt, hard, as most belts are too big on me :(

Love that dress bobbygirl! How is the sizing? I have a couple of dresses like that and I find I often have to go up a size because I have a huge ribcage :(.

I'm normally an 8 but had to go up a size for this one. It is very nice on and the colour is very bright !!

Just bought this. Wanted it in red but they were sold out of my size. Think im going to get one of those chicken fillet stick on bras to wear with it im fairly small chested.

OK, this dress looks a bit much here, but it's really lovely on! Without the shrug, it just has little straps. I'm not sure if I'll even wear the shrug with it.

River Island, €30, down from €80

I love the colour Twee, I think it would look great with wedges and without the shrug for a summer look, It's lovely haven't seen it in my local RI.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,159 ✭✭✭✭phasers

    That is so adorable Twee!

I like the way the shrug and waistband sort of clashes with the floral, I think it makes it look more vintagey or something :p

Love it Twee:) Going to check out River Island later, would love something like that for my son's confirmation.

Awh glad you all like it! I was thinking it was a bit crazy looking in the picture! It's in the RI sale, they had a good few in the Henry St Branch yesterday. As far as I know they never got it into the Liffey Valley branch.

I tried it on last night with a tulle underskirt, these shoes and my pillbox hat and it's SO Betty Draper! Now I just need somewhere to wear the damn thing!

Haha yes! I'l wait until there's a bit of heat so I can go bare legged though! The shrug actually looks deadly over a cami top with jeans :D

Went to Mahon earlier and they didn't have Twee's dress in the branch there:(:( If anyone spots it in the Cork City branch can they let me know?

Dunnes are doing push up bras at the minute for €8.. grabbed one the other day and didn't realize it was a push up til I got home, but they're really good!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,598 ✭✭✭boomkatalog

Those Penneys ones are ridiculous though, we all know when my housemate is wearing hers :P I bought one to wear for my 21st as my dress was a little big on me all over but they're just insane  I think the idea is to make you go up two sizes?? The bra is nearly bigger than my actual boobs =/

  • Registered Users Posts: 293 ✭✭Shmatter

Ye the penneys ones are mad, great, but very extreme!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,396 ✭✭✭lindtee

Couldn't resist this either. Was humming and hawing for the past few hours but decided to go for it in the end. From Amazon.
    stock_dress_rh_cherrydot_1.jpg

Also ordered Max Factor Colour Adapt in Creamy Ivory. Was looking for a pale foundation, and after reading recommendations here and elsewhere, I tried some today in Boots and it seems perfect.

Benefit's Finding Mr Bright. All I wanted was erase paste for my ridiculously dark under-eye circles! But then I got sucked in by all the other products in this.

The neon packaging was a bit of a turn-off, but the sample size products won me over. I'll review them soon in the Reviews thread :)

I like this tunic. Tell me, how you you go to the sale section in Asos and not become completely overwhelmed by the sheer mountain of items on sale? :D Do you go in looking for something specific, eg, sleeveless top, grey top, etc. or just browse and pick something you like? I just find it impossible to go through thousands of things!!

Haha I know what you mean, I just really limit the amount of stuff I'm shown. Take the dresses section, I select my size so I'm shown what's available in my size only. I put the budget to the highest amount I'd ever be willing to pay on a sale item (or on a dress or a top etc) and then I sort them all from low to high. By the time I get close to the top of my budget I'm happy with what I've found and don't want to look anymore :p
Depending on my mood, I'll sometimes sort by colour as well.

Good skills  I should be more discerning. I am so methodical I need to look at every bloody thing sometimes, then I just get sick of it halfway through, haha!

This is also my method. Although I finding having no money in my bank account is a fairly good deterrent for buying the entire website.

I'm trawling through it now. I WANT IT ALL.

Edit: Does anyone know if there's a magical way you can stop it showing maternity clothes? I tried the "hide this brand" thing but it got rid of all ASOS brand clothes.
