Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Blackberry Phonebook Transfer

Hey all, My Dad got a new Blackberry 8800 over the weekend. He had to get a new SIM for some reason. He bought a SIM backup device, which worked fine. But the SIM only had 200 numbers on it....there's still another 100+ on the phone memory of the old blackberry. Is there any application out there that will allow him to…

Hey all,

My Dad got a new Blackberry 8800 over the weekend.

He had to get a new SIM for some reason. He bought a SIM backup device, which worked fine. But the SIM only had 200 numbers on it....there's still another 100+ on the phone memory of the old blackberry.

Is there any application out there that will allow him to transfer the entire phonebook of the old blackberry onto the new one?

Hi

He should have received the latest version of Desktop Manager (on CD) with the new BB and that has a Switch Device/Transfer wizard that will allow him to copy all data (messages, contacts, calendar info etc) from his old BB to the new one. If he doesn't have this software, it can be downloaded from the RIM website.

Attachment is of the software delivered with the 8100, am assuming it comes with the 8800 as well!
