Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Deerpark - anyone played it?

Looking for some information on Deerpark Golf Club if anyone has some. Ideally, if someone could add a review to the Course Review thread that would be great.

Otherwise the info I'm looking for are general things to look out for when playing the course - long or short course of back tees, does it tend to be windy, can you throw a ball onto the green or do you have to drop it short, what do you have to look out for on the greens (does everything fall a particular direction etc.), any particular holes which stand out?

Must be someone here who can help?

    Thanks.

it's an average enough public course, nothing special but nice enough. It's short enough, pretty open, some poor holes some nice ones, elevation changes can catch you out on distances. Quite exposed in sections so can be affected by the weather. Everything falls towards the sea!

I agree totally with copacetic comments. I played it 3 weeks ago and had to drop everything short. Very little danger around the greens. We played off the back sticks which made it that bit longer. Plenty of room though, and although it was in fantastic nick, i wouldnt be rushing back.

greens aren't great it the main thing...mid irons basically have no chance of sticking....its not very long and pretty open...certainly not one of the tougher courses around
