    Hi,
I have a gas boiler currently heating water tank and rads. I have the option to turn off the rad source at the boiler and just heat water tank.
Is this cheaper than using electricity to heat immersion?

infinately cheaper. I have gas (:o and on tech advice, didn't fit any immersion. Whatever about Gas, electric is the worst way to heat water, imho..........unless............you buy, say, a 1kw windmill, and connect it to the immersion. It'd be nice'n'small, and would keep it going most of the time.......

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

if you are using your boiler solely for hot water ,turn down the thermostat on the boiler to the minimum.

Your water will heat just as quick ,and your boiler will be off for longer.
