i have a dell desktop about 1 year old, entry level pc. i cant remember exact model no.

i have no firewire so i have ordered a pci firewire to install on my pc.

Is it easy to install this? is there any step by step guide? Even on how to remove the panels at the back or cud anyone explain if this is an easy task or out of reach of a beginner?

Its about as easy as it gets ,

All you do is remove the side panel of the case ,

Look for a spare PCI slot ,

Remove the blank plate on the back that corresponds to that slot ,

Insert the card in it , it only goes one way , you cant get it wrong , dont forget to put the screw in the plate at the end of the card.

Put the side panel back on , thats it .

As far as I know you dont even need drivers , XP or Vista will install those when you boot back up.

Simple as mentioned, just a slot in card and away you go. :)

Link to article if you get stuck, but you'll probably be fine.
