Stag nite @ Malin head

Hi

My friends & I are going up to Malin head (There are about 15 of us) for the weekend and although I know there is very little to do @ Malin head, we have considered traveling down to Buncrana for the Saturday night.

Not being from the area (We are all from Belfast) I was wondering does anyone know of any Casinos or stripogrames in the area????

Firstly, it's probably a wise decision to head out of malin head for the sat night - p.s. are you staying in malin head or malin town? as malin town is a lot closer to Culdaff & carndonagh......

These are your options:

Culdaff - can be great craic - this might be good for the friday night - check out www.mcgrorys.ie for info on gigs while you're down - you may have to book tickets in advance depending on who's playing. The only thing is - you might feel as though you've never left belfast as it's crowded with tourists from your neck of the woods during summer weekends.:rolleyes:

Carndonagh - the closest big town to Malin Head
A good few good bars (Persian, The Arch ) and they have a busy nightclub that serves North Inishowen - Tul na Ri - sometimes they would have big dance nights - but you'd better ring just to double check 0035374 9374499

Buncrana is the biggest town in Inishowen with 1 main nightclub which is usually very busy - libertys - or liberty hall as it's affectionately known
There are loads of bars etc and gaming rooms ( just head up the main street and look around ) - Poker nights are also very popular - there's a new place opening soon just off the main street in Church street, and Bellagios in Ardravan square in the new part of the town host these nights as well - be warned though - they are certainly not casinos and they don't serve alcohol!!
Anyone I know who has ever got a stripogram has gotten them from Derry (Buncrana is only 13 miles from Derry so they will come down no problem)

Moville is also lively enough with some good pubs and restaurants and is worth a visit.

:mad: NOTE: I would advise you to familiarise yourself with local taxis/ minibus <SNIP>* when you arrive as Drink driving is absolutely out of the question. Many parts of the roads are treacherous in daylight and if you're sober but if you have been drinking they have unfortunately proven to be to many people, a death sentence. Gardai traffic corps are visual in the area and random breathalisation is commonplace....
