thats how ntl operate. you ring them, explain whats going wrong and they schedule a call back.
usually takes 24 - 60 hours for a call back to be done.
and usually ends up with an engineer being scheduled to call to the house.

if you want, there is a premium rate number you can call and speak to a tech support agent straight away but its charged at 95c a miniute.

2 days and still no callback, so I called again. Another 15 minutes and the agent promised a callback within the next hour. 12 hours later and still no callback. Connect now running at 188k down and 650k up.

ring them and ask for the call centre supervisor/manager and explain that your not waiting anymor and you want to be trransfered to an agent now. dont accept a call back unless its from him/herself.

im an old customer. well when i say old, had it 3 months now.

i asked him about it and he said it the main target area for the upgrades are in dublin as they have such an old network there and the cable's are not as new.

here in tipp, he said its a new cable network thats underground and there are very few customers using it down here. so he said thats why my speeds are so good.

he said the speed upgrade wont happen until june.

Was your network busy while testing?
Was your computer hacking away at some task while testing?

Check it a few times, sometimes ya just get a high ping. Im getting a ping of near 300 here at work. Then again, theres a few thousand people on the network.

What really sucks is that despite my 6mb down and 512kb up it still depends on a website to upload files to you so you can be waiting for ages to watch stuff:mad:
