Roof Rack Cycle Carriers

Apologies if this topic has been dealt with before, but I'm looking to buy a roof mounted cycle rack.

What are my best options? Thule? Halfords? others? I don't want a rack that means I have to take my wheels off for.

They recommend a Fapa Velo system? Worth it? it's much cheaper than the Thule 591 system....

I'd say go for the Thule - as they say in the review, you pay more for quality. Also, you don't want your bike flying off the roof while doing 120 on the motorway...

Slightly off-topic, remember to watch out for anything that has a low clearance once you have bikes on the roof - have seen nasty things happen a few times!

I bought the thule only last week, great piece of kit.
Halfords have them on sale...reduced from 178 :rolleyes: to 118 euro.
They can be bought on ebay for 77 euro inc delivery, I got mine in halfords as I needed one in a hurry.
