Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

IE not remembering proxy settings

Hi there, basically I'm in college and as such have to configure proxy settings to use the internet. With Firefox my proxy settings are always 'remembered'; that is , I do not have to enter them every time I restart the computer. When I go home for the weekend it's simply a matter of selecting not to use a proxy in settings.

With IE (pretty sure it's 6), the settings never remember the proxy settings, so each time I have to use it I have to manually enter the settings. This gets annoying because MSN, iTunes etc. depend on IE being configured properly to work.

Is there anything I can do to make IE remember the proxy settings?

    Thank you

    Yes they do!

...Whatever way I have it configured anyway. MSN won't connect, iTunes music store won't connect unless I have IE sorted out. That's always been how it's worked when I'm in college

MSN etc gets their proxy information for IE, or you can configure them manually within their own options.

The only thing that I can think of would be a group policy in effect at your college that's applied every time you reboot, whih resets the proxy.
