Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

de-branding iMode Nokia 5300

I've been given an unlocked Nokia 5300 handset which was originally
O2 and branded as an iMode phone.

The iMode branding places limits on some of the Java development
I'm trying to deploy on this handset (as part of a work project).
Does anyone know how I might go about de-branding this handset
so that I can replace the iMode customizations ?

nss will interrogate the phone, look for the product code field and check against the above link , the existing may be different but he gave the generic afterwards so thats what you enter in that field and then write to phone. its also maybe 0537658 , depends on teh colour ( honest)

    nss is here

The product code change/reboot will technically unbrand it and you can then flash the firmware with the nokia software updater to get actually rid of the branding by downloading generic non o2 firmware.

back up all your pics and contacts first with the nokia pc suite ( the software updater is part of the suite) so yes , get that first or update that first.
