As usual the Carlow/Kilkenny tallies are the slowest to come out its the bloody same for every election, if MJ gets re-elected Carlow are doomed for another 5 years. But no idea yet as last tallies I heard only 29% of boxes were open and only 4 from Carlow!

From what I've heard on local radio, there's no figures out of Mullingar yet

There's not much east of Westmeath in this election for Donie and Willie. Penrose will do well in Mullingar town.

what's all this over-reaction from people about ?

    emigrate blah blah blah

we've had 10 good years as a country.
people have voted for more of the same.

    hardly surprising

Well if people have voted for a majority for FF they had better not start complaining when the health system is still a mess in 3 or 4 years time. See my signature I think it is very appropiate today, George Bernard Shaw was spot on.

Donnie Cassidy does not have a prayer. Willie Penrose should top the poll with O'Rouke 2nd, Bannnon 3rd the fourth might go to Mc Fadden with transfers from Burke.

    Galway West
    O Cuív FF
    Fahy FF
    Grealish PD
    Michael D Higgins Labour
    Mc Cormack FG(I think)

    Brolcháin (greens) way down

    Just off Newstalk

You're forgetting Kelly in Longford town, who's likely to be the first FF TD elected. After that you're likely looking at 1 FG and 1 FF with Bannon and O'Rourke being favourites.

And many of us (myself included) didn't give Grealish much of a hope of holding on to his seat.

My sister is a councillor down that way, so she's close to the action, and the word is that Penrose (Lab), Kelly (FF) and Bannon (FG) are looking good. Looks like it's between O'Rourke and McFadden for the last seat, but she says it too early to tell. Not looking good for Donie, fcuk the great loss! Talk about giving lessons in idleness!

Edit: Penrose almost definitely still holding his seat (no surprise, tbh).

I would not think so willie penrose will get a massive mullingar vote so i would expect him as been the first person elected.

There is great distaste for Cassidy in Mullingar as he has done abloutly nothing for the town the mullingar ff vote would have went to O'Rouke.
