Has anyone heard anything about Dublin North East? Nothing updated on the RTE website on it and I havent seen coverage on the election programme. It's probably one of the few constituencies where FF may lose a seat to FG

Martin and McGrath elected on the first count in Cork South Central... looks like a toss up between 4 or 5 others for the rest of the seats... all circling around 5,000 with a quota of 9845.

Louth looks like returning the same 4 TDs, with the "targetted" Seamus Kirk topping the poll after the first count. All four incumbents look comfortable, with McGuinness languishing.

    Anyone have Leitrim-Roscommon on hand?

By my calculations McDowell is 1,100 behind Gormley in DSE
    with approx. 950 transfers available
and is therefore almost certain to be eliminated.

Am I right or should I wait before popping the champagne?

They're reporting his elimination as a "foregone conclusion" on politics.ie as well so I guess it's time to get the fancy glasses out!

He is 1100 behind though BMH and we are on the 4th count, hard to see him winning tbh

After Andrew's transfers Gormley is 5796 and McDowell is 4614 thats 1182, I think McDowell is gone, will be confirmed in next half hour or so.

Personally I don't think he'll make it but I just thought I'd add considering the people breaking out the champagne because of politics.ie's title.
