Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Am I right in thinking that broadband throughput is faster with vista.
I'm getting 5mb files in 20 seconds on a 2mb connection ,I've never got that before.

I bought a new PC in January 07 running XP and went with Eircom's Home Starter 1Mb package with a wireless router - performance was CRAP - sometimes down to 2Kb or less, usually no more 25Kb - I put it down to lousy contention and decided I would switch once my 6 months were up. I then got my Vista upgrade - minimum speed is 85Kb, with it generally running between 95Kb and 105Kb. It peaked at 108Kb Eircom say the theoretical maximum on my package is 100Kb.

I've heard that Microsoft have rewritten the way Vista connects to the internet and I'm certainly not complaining - this sort of speed is more than adequate for home use.

I stuck the new 2GB of ram into my machine ,the download speeds are coming up as normal now.

I'm thinking the bus is reporting wrong throughputs ,because of the lack of ram. Vista must be reversing it's methods when theres not enough ram or something like that.
It's hogwash coming from me ,as I don't really know what I'm talking about.

I'm still happy with vista ,regardless.
