Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys,
having a problem here with a laptop running XP Pro. I have a projector connected into it and the desktop displays correctly on both devices but when I play a DVD the picture only displays on the laptop screen and not the projector. It just shows a black screen. When I go and turn down the hardware acceleration to the lowest it fixes the problem and the film displays on the projector but is jumpy.

Now when I reboot the problem comes back and i have to turn back up the hardware acceleration and then turn it back down again. Anyone else come across this or know a fix? the Graphics card is an Mobile Intel 945GM Express.

Windows can only create an overlay surface on one monitor. You could work around it by switching the projector to be the primary display in the Intel graphics options but then it won't show the video on the laptop screen.

Another solution is to use VMR-9 as the playback method if the application gives you an option to do so. This should work with both screens.

Use MPC as the player and in View->Options->Playback-Output then select "Overlay mixer" or "VMR9 Windowed" as the output type and play the file in MPC.

Alternatively try MPC Home Cinema which is a mod of MPC that includes remote control support but is also the very latest version.

If it still doesn't work you may need to update your display drivers and Direct-X
