    Just wondering - I have a direct debit set up to pay my ESB bill, how much notice do u get between receiving the bill and the actual money being taken out of the bank???

    For me this month bill arrived Fri 4th, DD went out Thurs 10th. Five working days I guess.

    normally they take money on last date of bill.

    the money is debited from your bank account 14 days from the day of issue

    (the day of issue is the day the bill is posted so it may be a few days beofre you receive the bill)

    you can find day of issue top right hand corner of your bill and it states on the bill what date it will be taken out.
