Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've decided to have a go at growing my hair long. It's been short all my life, so I don't know how its going to turn out, it will probably be a complete failute, but it cant be worse than how I've had it for a while now!

I want to grow it out like this :

Nothing too insane, but still quite different from the cut I have now. I was just wondering if you guys/girls could give me any advice, and tell me how long it would take to grow out this long ? At the moment it's very, very short (gelled into a faux hawk short), so I'm starting from scratch pretty much.

    Anyone ? Thanks a lot :)

Have you ever had long hair? As a baby or whatever? You might find yourself with a big ol' hard to control (yet rather rockin) mop of curls. :P

Nope. Never. If it goes even the slightest bit curly, my girlfriend has warned me that it will be shaved off without a moments notice. I don't mind :P

I'd say more like 2 years, and the first year is going to start to get really, really annoying.

Ah, Jaysus. That's some. And theres that period where you look like a right eejit :(

So much for that plan then. Thanks a lot for the quick replies guys. I'll have to find some other incredibly weird hairstyle in which to scare my friends ! :)

I found that this time around, just gelling it back got me through the awkward phase with no hassle.

It's worth it in the end though.

I tried to let my hair grow recently - didnt get past 6 months because it was just too hard to keep under control. I really regret getting it cut now though (my gf fancies jack white and I want to give the bastard a run for his money) :(

I grew mine for 6 months then got the mop cut (it was ridiculously puffy!). I got it styled so that hopefully when I leave it grow this time it'll be more manageable.
